It’s hard to open something in a ski town that hasn’t been done before. But the new Gravity Haus hotel at the base of Breckenridge’s Peak 9 is testing a novel concept for Summit County: a membership-based lodging property designed for athletes and backcountry aficionados. The rooms, which anyone can book, range from dorm-style with shared bathrooms to fully stocked suites. Most land above the ski-bum price point, but so do the amenities: the space, which used to house The Village hotel, also includes a Japanese-style bathhouse, co-working desks, a coffee shop, bar and restaurant, and year-round gear storage for both in-house quivers and members’. gravityhaus.com
